The Story of The Way Knows
Amy’s business name, “The Way Knows,” was born from an incredible song called “The Way Knows,” that was written by her friend, musician , Lyndsey Scott. Lyndsey caught this song during a time of deep questioning and transformation.
Amy discovered Lyndsey’s song in 2024. It quickly became her mantra and a source of inspiration for her life’s work. Amy love’s reminding clients that they do not need to “know the way” to healing, but the way knows.
As Amy evolved and worked with her grief and trauma, she felt called to offer new avenues of healing that extend beyond traditional psychotherapy, while still honoring the wisdom and structure those foundations provide. This shift was not about abandoning clinical integrity, but about expanding the field of what healing can look and feel like.
As a non-licensed therapist, Amy is deeply committed to maintaining clear professional and ethical boundaries, which are essential to cultivating safety, trust, and respect within the therapeutic relationship. It is within this balance—of openness and structure, exploration and responsibility—that meaningful and lasting healing can unfold.
Amy has learned the quiet truth that healing is not something we are given—it is something we remember.
At its core, The Way Knows is founded on the belief that healing intelligence is inherent within every human being. Beneath the layers of trauma, grief, conditioning, and survival strategies, there exists a deeper knowing—a steady, wise presence that has never been lost, only obscured.
Her work is rooted in the understanding that we do not need to arrive at healing with certainty, belief, or even confidence. We simply need the conditions that allow our inner intelligence to emerge within the crucible of safety and support.
The name itself speaks to a shift away from striving, and toward presence.
So many of us have been taught to search outside ourselves for answers—to fix, to figure out, to control. But in the process of navigating trauma and grief, control often tightens what is asking to soften. The Way Knows honors a different orientation: one of trust. Trust that there is a natural movement toward wholeness within each person. Trust that even when the path feels unclear, something deeper is guiding the process.
This work invites a gentle unraveling of the idea that we must force our way forward. Instead, it offers an opportunity to soften—to become curious about what is already unfolding within. When we slow down enough to listen, when we are held in spaces that feel safe and attuned, we begin to sense that the way forward is not something we have to create from scratch. It is already in motion.
“The Way” is not a prescribed path. It is not linear, and it does not belong to anyone outside of you. It is the unique, living intelligence of your own system—your body, your emotions, your psyche—moving at its own pace toward integration and renewal.
And “Knows” is a reminder: even when the mind is uncertain, even when the terrain feels unfamiliar, something within you remains deeply oriented. Your system knows how to protect and unbind, how to process, how to heal, and how to return to connection.
The Way Knows is both a philosophy and an invitation.
It is a return to relational healing—where transformation happens not in isolation, but in the presence of attuned, compassionate support. It is a space where nothing needs to be forced, where your experience is honored, and where your inner wisdom is trusted above all else.
Ultimately, The Way Knows is about remembering that you are not broken, and you are not lost. The way is already unfolding underneath your feet. within you.
